# Installation and Configuration > The Goody for Salesforce app lets you send gifts and track gift data directly within Salesforce Heres an overview of the setup Step 1 Install the app 1 Source: https://support.ongoody.com/en_us/installation-and-configuration-SkVhygypbg Last updated: 2026-07-19T03:33:45.476Z ## Introduction This document serves as a configuration guide for the Goody Salesforce app. The first section covers the installation of the package. The following sections will walk you through applying permission sets and completing the Setup Assistant. This guide is meant to walk you through configuring your org in a Lightning Experience environment. Throughout this guide, you will be instructed to navigate through Setup.  To do so, you will need to click on the ![](https://cdn.kustomerhostedcontent.com/media/680f757789b64ead8b552ac2/2074f2c7306aadf13c2d2b4ce13e08ee.png) gear to the upper right and select Setup.  Once in Setup, you may use the Quick Find box to find and navigate to the appropriate section. **![](https://cdn.kustomerhostedcontent.com/media/680f757789b64ead8b552ac2/f2caea7b6c17edccf759cf5d7eb9b93c.png)** # # # Installation ## **Installing the Goody Package** [**Visit Goody's AppExchange page**](https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N4V00000HE8BvUAL) to start installing the application. On the top right of the page, click the blue **Get It Now** button. If you haven't already, you might be asked to sign in to your Salesforce account. ![](https://cdn.kustomerhostedcontent.com/media/680f757789b64ead8b552ac2/b61621ae46e4c101c257856fd0d962e8.png) Next, choose whether to install it in a production environment or a sandbox environment. Both are supported by the Goody app. ![](https://cdn.kustomerhostedcontent.com/media/680f757789b64ead8b552ac2/7b377b65d454e678d7c87dfe2d9077e5.png) Review and confirm installation details on the next screen. ![](https://cdn.kustomerhostedcontent.com/media/680f757789b64ead8b552ac2/54973e0bc7a0ad4cbe56b5984116f9a7.png) Next, you'll see the installation screen in your Salesforce instance. * **Install for Admins Only** is recommended - this option allows for controlling access and permissions after the package has been installed. As it states, this is to allow data to be sent back and forth between your Salesforce org and Goody. ## **Permission Sets**  Three permission sets are included with the Goody package.  The **Goody Setup User, Goody API User, and Goody User**.  The **Goody Setup User** must be assigned to the user that will be responsible for installing and configuring the Goody Application. Typically a Salesforce Administrator, but can be any user. The **Goody API User** permission set must be assigned to users who will be executing the API, if you log in as the admin and go to manage the connected app, you can change the user who executes the connected app, and you would assign the Goody API User perm set to that user.  * Click **Edit** ![](https://cdn.kustomerhostedcontent.com/media/680f757789b64ead8b552ac2/e41cf51fd9c8eb9d325d881507ebac14.png) * Select the user who you want to execute the connected app by clicking the magnifying glass next to Run As * Then assign the  **Goody API User** permission set to that user ![](https://cdn.kustomerhostedcontent.com/media/680f757789b64ead8b552ac2/5102a132d066dc3664e75f143c475d04.png) The **Goody User** will need to be assigned to any user that will be interacting with the Goody Gifts component. Typically a salesperson that works in the Contact, Lead, and Opportunity objects. In Goody, you can obtain this from [Organization > Integrations > Salesforce](https://www.ongoody.com/plus/organization/integrations/salesforce). * Click **Authorize** * Click **Next** ![](https://cdn.kustomerhostedcontent.com/media/680f757789b64ead8b552ac2/4d601ef28729f2667fb76366869c6ab3.png) * Click **Authorize** * ** Click **Finish** ** Next, you can activate Flow Templates to perform actions in Salesforce, like assigning tasks to users, when Goody events occur.
